General Shipping Information -- LeanAndTender™ Longhorn natural grass-fed Beef
1. We do not add any "handling" charges to our best estimate of the actual cost of shipping our products to you. We pay the charges for shipping directly to UPS, FedEx*, or USPS and make no profit from them.
* Currently we do not have FedEx shipping capability, we are working with them to try and establish good service, and lower shipping costs.
2. The shipping selection process can become confusing in our attempt to offer the best service at the lowest shipping cost. We are continually trying to improve the shipping selection method and lower the costs. Please bear with us and contact us for assistance and advice. We appreciate your business and your patience.
3. We must use Guaranteed Two-Day delivery for all fresh beef (steaks, roasts, ground beef, etc.). All fresh beef products are packed in an insulated container with dry ice. We use UPS or FEDEX* for these deliveries.
4. If you are in the "Two-Day ground delivery area" from our
location in New Mexico, you can choose this
inexpensive shipping method for fresh beef products, at considerable savings
(rather than Two-Day AIR).

5. We can use USPS Priority Mail only for sausage and jerky products. Delivery averages 2 to 3 days. But may be longer, especially during peak holiday delivery periods.
6. USPS Priority Mail has a 'flat rate' box (11"L x 8.5"W x 5.5"H) in which we can ship many jerky and sausage products throughout the US for $8.10. These products are normally shipped packed with insulating bubble wrap and cold ice packs. Sorry, our Gift-Paks will not fit in the USPS flat rate box described above, see the next item below, for our special flat rate for our Gift-Paks.
7. Gift-Paks -- We have a special flat rate of $10.00 to any where in the continental U.S. for any of our Gift-Paks.
8. Longhorn Ship-Paks are packages of products that will fit in a USPS Priority Mail flat-rate box. Shipping to anywhere in the USA by Priority Mail, is included in the price of all Longhorn Ship-Paks!
9. We normally ship on Tuesday of each week, to ensure that the package does not sit in a truck, warehouse, or post office over the weekend.
10. If you are in our area, stop in at our Longhorn Ranch Store, and save all shipping costs. Our Longhorn ranch is located on the Santa Fe Trail, near Wagon Mound, New Mexico -- USA. Determine Your Shipping Cost -- LeanAndTender™ Longhorn grass-fed natural Beef
You must select Guaranteed Two-Day delivery for all fresh beef (steaks, roasts, ground beef, etc.)
After you select all your products, and proceed through checkout, you will be asked to select a shipping package. You must select one of these REQUIRED shipping packages. This adds no cost, just the weight of the dry-ice, or ice packs, packaging, etc.
On the next page you choose your shipping method -- The costs for each method are shown in the "Ship Via" drop down selection box. Although all methods of shipping appear, you must select the correct one for the products you have ordered and your location (ZIP code). You must select Guaranteed Two-Day delivery for all fresh beef (steaks, roasts, ground beef, etc.).

For shipments containing fresh beef you may use a box size of 14" x 14" x 8" and 12 pounds as your package weight. (products plus 5lbs of dry-ice and 2 lb shipping container).
For shipments of only hickory smoked sausage and jerky products, use the product weight plus 3 pounds (ice packs and shipping container).
